People will punish Congress even more than post-emergency this time: Modi at BJYM rally

Ahmedabad, 20 February 2014

Speaking at Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM)’s massive Vijay Shankhanad Yuva rally at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel stadium today evening, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi said the present cyclone of change will convert into Tsunami by the time of elections, and people will punish Congress party this time even more than post-emergency period.

“Parivartan ki andhi hai, Tsunami mein palat jayengi,” Modi said.

He said, this is perhaps the first election where people have taken their decision(on whom to elect) even before the polls. Generally political parties and their candidates fight the elections , but this time it seems the people of this nation are fighting the elections. This election is not about party, it’s about hopes and aspirations of people. This election has brought new dreams, new hopes, new energy unlike any other elections in past.

Modi said, youths are just voters for them, but for us youth is not just voter but power.

This anger, these of people. There has been atmosphere of disappointment in last ten years.

Nation has never seen such a poor condition of nation.

Youth is just voter for them. For us youth is not just voter but power.

Modi said: If I speak truth, Delhi govt minister feel bad, because they were never challenged for seven years. No one (had dared to)look in their eyes. They think how a tea seller boy dares to challenge the people who ruled for sixty years over this nation. They search for opportunity to hit Modi, eliminate Modi. But maximum what they can do? Can they trap me through CBI or make me run to courts? They don’t know that we are here to serve Maa Bharti. If not in this life, we will serve Bharat Mata in next life. We have not left home for position and power. This is the reason why my every line hurts them. But only few days are left now, let them continue to do it.

He further said: And how they make the youths fool? In last budget they declared Rs. 1000 crore budget for skill development. But no one inquired how the sum was spent! They said they would train 10 lakh youths and allotted Rs. 1000 crore budget for that cause. But how many were actually trained? So far only 18,352 are trained! Even 5% task has not been completed. And this time again in ‘vote on account’ they allotted some amount. They keep making announcements. If they function in same style, they may take at least twenty years to train one lakh youths. This is their mentality to fool the youths. We must not trust them.

Modi shared the percentage of youths in this nation at present and said: year 2014 elections depend on aggressiveness of our youths. There should be aggressive approach, and I have found that youths have come forward with their dreams and hopes.

Modi spoke about need for one youth-one sport-one skill approach to change the future of youths.
