Aam AAdmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has stated that if he had to choose a Prime Minister between Modi and Mayawati, then he will pick Modi.
His comments have been reported by the English daily, Economic Times. The newspaper quotes Anil Singhvi, an investment banker and former managing director of Ambuja Cements, saying that when given a choice between the BJP PM candidate and BSP supremo, he would pick the former.
“If you hold a gun to my head, I will choose Modi,” Kejriwal told Singhvi.
According to the report, Kejriwal was addressing an interaction with financial leaders where he said that the coming election are likely to give a fractured mandate. To this Singhvi asked that if Kejriwal had to chose a Prime Minister, between Narendra Modi and Mayawati, whom would he pick.
“At first, Kejriwal told me he would choose none, but when I persisted and said that the country would need a PM, he said if forced to choose, he would go for Modi,” Singhvi told the newspaper.
But as per Singhvi, Kejriwal did not give any reason for his choice.
