Mumbai, 20 March 2014
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has opened a YouTube account “Flame Of Truth” and issued debut investor communication video release to place the record straight against misinformation campaign run by new political party’s leader Arvind Kejriwal.
According to company communication, “A strange and irresponsible statement by a political leader at the India Today Conclave on 7th March 2014 was aired live and placed on the social media. The statement is fraught with poor knowledge of the constitutional scheme and is aimed only to misinform. The concerted action of the parties mentioned above has caused injury to our unblemished record of service to the economic well-being of India. It is therefore, incumbent upon us to place the record straight. Accordingly, a video release is being shared in line with the highest standards of investor communication and information to all relevant stakeholders & partners.”
The video features a statement by RIL spokesperson Mr. Umesh Upadhyay on 20 March 2014.
