Narendra Modi reacts to Sonia Gandhi’s Gujarat speeches(video)

This was BJP prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi’s first and last public address in the Lok Sabha general election season 2014. Shri Modi’s visit to Polo ground Vadodara coincided with Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s Gujarat visit. So, major part of Shri Modi’s speech was about giving reaction to Sonia’s speeches. Presented are the highlights of Shri Modi’s Vadodara speech:

-I am seeing lakhs of Narendra Modi here.This is the first incident in the electoral history of India when every citizen has become a candidate. When each of you has become a captain of this battle, victory is certain.

-I explore entire country. Today morning I was in Kashi from where I moved to Bihar and now I’m here with you. I get opportunity to go to every corner of this nation. And I am clearly observing that this election is not about wave but it is like tsunami. There’s no chance that Congress, UPA will survive. Intelligence Bureau has handed over the reports on first three-four phases of elections to the Government of India. Two things emerge from the trends so far are clear’ (1) the mother/son’s government is departing, and (2) that foundation of new government are laid through polling so far.

-And if you observe properly, Congress leader’s body language, anger, speaking offending words, loose language etc after three-four phases of polling clearly show that ruling family’s kingdom is looted, their reactions are visible in their talk, they speak only lies.

-In December 2012, we completed the assembly polls.I gave you account of the works of our government. I have been passed with distinction in that exam in presence of six crore people, and Congress didn’t get even 20% marks. Earlier we believed that PM runs the govt, but after a recent book release, it is clear that the mother and her son ran the government. This nation doesn’t want to tolerate this mother/son government for even a minute more. I want to ask the election commission that whether these congress leaders spreading lie is considered breach of model code of conduct? Whether their practice of misleading the people in Gujarat is considered breach of model of conduct?

-I arrived at Vadodara and I received video showing how much lies madam(Sonai Gandhi) spoke today. Madam Soniaji you are in Gandhi’s land. Your ability to listen to truth has gone, in public life you should dare to speak truth.

-Today she(Sonia Gandhi in Gujarat) said that Gujarat’s position is worst among all states in the area of drop outs of students. From which book she brought this detail? Once upon a time your foreign minister read some other country’s speech. You did same and read out a speech prepared for some other state in Gujarat or what? In 2001-02 when people made me Chief Minister for the first time, 1st-5th standard dropout in schools was about 21-22%. This govt brought it down to 2%. Doesn’t she understand the difference between 2% and 21%? She clearly lies, and it gives example of how mother/son ran this nation. I can judge from today’s speech that how this nation went to ruins. She said in Gujarat one who spends Rs. 11 per day is considered poor. She should at least speak truth. She must be knowing that in India, the level of poverty line has been decided by her mother/son government, and Gujarat is the state that has raised its voice against such a method of poverty line for number of time. This Narendra Modi has said it for fifty times that this method is incorrect, and it is like kicking over stomoch of a poor person. Due to the levels of poverty decided by your mother/son government, 11 lakh poor people could stay outside the below poverty level. It is the Gujarat govt that has given benefits of Below Poverty Line status to 12 lakh people, and has saved their life. Please don’t commit sin to speak lies on the land of Mahatma Gandhi. This is not any other state that would listen(to your lies). This is Narendra Modi. We live our life on sharp edge of sword.

-Malnutrition. Her son also read out something on malnutrition, and his video is circulated on whatsapp. He said every two out of one child in Gujarat is hungry! Two out of one and not one out of two!

-Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh who runs mother son govt said that malnutrition is this nation’s most serious problem. I also said that I agree with this remark of PM. But(my question was that) what did you do against this serious problem? You will be shocked. A committee was formed under the leadership of PM. For three years, not a single meeting was held. Then they handed over it to the planning commission. Madam Soniaji, you lied about malnutrition, and your son lies on Monday, and you lie on Tuesday. You both speak lies turn by turn. CAG report says Gujarat has shown the best improvement among all the states when it comes to situation of malnutrition. And for us, the issue of malnutrition is not about whose better, it’s not about who spent what… For us the issue of malnutrition is something related to our social responsibility. Only Gujarat has spent so much money from government treasury to counter this problem in entire India.

-She(Sonia Gandhi) said another thing. She said that Gujarat has highest debt. Madam Soniaji, at least tell some truth. And you think if you speak lie, Gujarat people will vote for you?

-The rule associated with debt is that you can have certain percentage of your total GDP as debt. This rule is introduced by the central govt, and the Gujarat govt simply follows it. Madam Soniaji, Gujarat’s debt is below the permitted level, and you(the central government) has double debt than permitted mark. Our debt is not for the purpose of paying celery. It is for post earthquake tasks to be performed in Kutch district, it is for Narmada water supply, and that too is below the permitted level as per the Reserve bank rules. Please don’t mislead the people by discussing such subjects that common man doesn’t understand. Please don’t spread lies. Please tell about your debt(central govt).Gujarat has 65% planned expenditure, 35% non-plan. The situation is total reverse in the mother/son government.

-Madam said that BJP ideology is divisive. On the basis of facts, I have proved that who is actually divisive. Due to sense of defeat this mother/son govt is spreading unlimited lies. We are divisive? Madam, first have a look at the history of Congress. Who divided our Bharat Mata? Who is divisive? Who caused fights between states through formation of states on the basis of languages? Who made two states fight in the name of water issue? Due to whome there are two governments in the country? One in India and other in Jammu and Kashmir? Who caused this divide? Chanakya had said that any government’s strength depends on its intelligence network. Who caused fight between CBI and IB? Who committed that sin? In this country, armed forces were never dividied in the name of faith. Madam Soniaji, you, you and you ordered religion based census in armed forces. It was our armed forces that refused to accept that order. You will teach us Indian culture? Everything has limit.

-You speak about corruption, and in Bihar? Someone is out on bail from jail and you contest elections jointly. You looted this nation much. Soonest the mother/son government goes, better for this nation’s future.

-This Garib word doesn’t suit them. Student would speak God’s name during exam. Congress party would speak ‘Garib Garib Garib……’ at the time of the elections.
