When Narendra Modi casts his vote
April 30, 2014

Ahmedabad, 30 April, 2014
BJP prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi today voted at Ranip
Modi tweeted in the morning: On my way to vote. I consider myself extremely blessed and fortunate to be a voter in Advaniji’s parliamentary constituency.
Then he arrived at polling station, where large number of media persons and hundreds of local people were waiting for him. Modi arrived and straight away went inside the polling station. Inside the polling room a small child came to him and shook hands. Modi spoke couple of lines with the child. A child showed his inked finger. After voting, Modi came outside and mixed with the crowd which was continuously shouting slogans………’Modi……..Modi…’. Modi showed his inked finger and later clicked selfie through a white mobile phone with his inked finger and small white paper lotus(party symbol).

Then there was time to speak to media. Routinely Modi just gives token statement outside polling booth, but this time he spoke longer and covered so many things. He continued to flash a lotus symbol in his hand in front of cameras.

Modi apologize to Gujarat, says Unka agenda Modi hai, BJP ka agenda Bharat hai
Modi said: Today is polling day in Gujarat and some other states. Election is big festival of democracy and all people should vote to strengthen democracy. I especially thank people of Gujarat for completely a peaceful election campaign . I congratulate the voters of Gujarat, people of Gujarat and all those who contributed to peaceful campaign. I apologize to people of Gujarat. Earlier I used to allot lot of time for campaign here but this time I have been able to allot only 18 hours to Gujarat. Voting so far has ensured that mother son government has gone, and another thing is that, foundation of new government has been laid. I have traveled highest in this election season and measured the mood. I can give first report there. The voting now is to ensure a strong government. And there’s heavy polling in such a heat that has never been before. It shows this is an election of hope, it has brought a new hope, new trust. It will give new strength to the nation. On 16th May the message will be clear. There will be a strong government led by BJP. There is no confusion on that. Congress has accepted defeat the way they are giving statements of aligning with third front etc. Don’t forget Nirbhaya. Don’t forget unemployed youth. Don’t forget farmers committing suicide. Don’t forget how our soldiers were beheaded. Vote for a glorious future of India. This nation has a lot of strength and I have faith in people of India and youth of India.
Slogans were even stronger and continued when Modi left the place to leave for Bihar campaign later in day.
