‘Bhag, mummy, bhag’ tells reality of Congress party
In June 2013 Prabha Kishore Taviad, Lok Sabah MP from Dahod in central Gujarat was put under party’s Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi to look after Frontal Organizations. Taviad could be happy to be someone selected by Rahul Gandhi. Now read this piece by Coomi Kapoor in Indian Express. It actually shows how Congress men run after a family and how family treat them:
Bhag, mummy, bhag: Congress members complain that Rahul Gandhi is so distracted during his campaigning that he does not have even the inclination or time to connect with the party’s parliamentary candidates, let alone workers. At Devgadh Baria in the Bhil tribal constituency of Dahod in Gujarat, Dr Prabha Taviad was prevented from sitting on the dais by the SPG while Rahul addressed a rally, even though she tried to explain that she was the Congress candidate on whose behalf he was speaking. Immediately after the rally, Rahul shook a few hands and headed for the helicopter. Dr Taviad’s son and several members of the audience urged her to run and meet Rahul. “Bhag, mummy, bhag,” they all screamed helpfully in Gujarati. Taviad sprinted to catch up with Rahul so that she could thank him and exchange a few words, but the Congress vice-president had already pushed off for his next destination.
Reward scheme for winning seat!
BJP had announced reward for those booth incharges in Vadodara Lok Sabha seat who ensure over 95% voting. The reward announced was a tea session with Narendra Modi. Two booths in Waghodia assembly seat area have won this reward. The booth people have decided to demand a school and extension of branch canal to their village when they meet Modi. As Vadodara is one of the safest seats for BJP in Gujarat, such reward scheme could better be launched for some seats where fight with Congress was really close.
Modi takes break in air
The plane in which Narendra Modi travels these days is one of the best available planes in terms of facilities. Of course he deserves it, as he flies thousands of kms everyday. There’s convertible bed inside the plane on which Modi rests comfortably during journey. Modi takes meal inside the plane. Cabin crew is careful and ensures that Modi takes rest at proper time. There’s LCD monitor that shows exact location of plane.
Matching dates
Anybody noticed it? Gujarat witnessed the Lok Sabha general elections exactly on same date after five years of gap. Polling date in Gujarat in year 2014 elections was 30th April. It was exactly same in year 2009. Even the date of counting of votes has been same – 16th of May.
Chalo Varanasi

After the polls in Gujarat, the state BJP’s organizational team has reached Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for Narendra Modi there. The photographs via twitter show Bhikhubhai Dalsania, Parshottam Rupala, IK Jadeja, Vijay Rupani, Mansukhbhai, Dinesh Dasa, Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Bharatsinh Parmar, CR Patil, Harsh Sanghvi, Bharat Pandya, Bharat Dangar among others in airport bus. While these are some of the top faces of BJP in Gujarat organizationally, many foot soldiers are also on way to Varanasi. The task for them is to ensure huge margin of victory for Narendrabhai. Motivated BJP workers personally want to create a situation where Kejriwal loses his deposit. Modi has reportedly asked his ministers not to come to Varanasi for campaign and continue to focus over governance in Gujarat. Varanasi has now emerged as capital of political activities in entire purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi has in fact become a base for BJP during ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2014. As Narendrabhai has become a national leader, his team in Gujarat too is ready to experience the flavour of politics in other parts of India.
