Congress points out to these figures in support of its boycott decision
New Delhi, 12 May, 2014
Indian ruling party Congress has decided to boycott the opinion polls/exit polls. Congress leader Ajay Maken blamed year 2004 and 2009 exit polls for boycott in 2014. According to Maken, both exit polls in 2004 and 2009 completely underestimated UPA. Boycott of opinion/exit polls means Congress representatives will not attend discussions on news channel regarding opinion/exit polls. By not participating debates on news channels, Congress has to lose nothing, as elections are over. The actual results will be out on 16th.
