National General Secretary of BJP, Amit Shah is party’s incharge for Uttar Pradesh state which alone contributes 80 seats to parliament. For last some time, Amit Shah had become a face of BJP in Uttar Pradesh. MLA from Ahmedabad’s Naranpura area, Amit Shah is powerful strategist. At 5.00 pm on Friday, BJP was leading on 69 of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Congress is leading just on two seats; Rai Bareli where Sonia Gandhi is candidate and Amethi where Rahul Gandhi is candidate. BJP’s strategy in UP was about causing maximum damage not only Congress, but its prospective supporters in the case of hung parliament. Amit Shah has also emerged as no. 2 powerful leader in Gujarat. His power is not connected to any position or support in party. His power is at this juncture connected to his achievement in UP. He however gives credit of this to Shri Modi and party workers.
