Why Anandiben the best choice for CM post ? Narendra Modi explains

After election of Anandiben Patel as his successor, outgoing Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his speech described why Anandiben Patel is best choice to lead Gujarat according to him.

Modi said Anandiben is senior most minister in present government in terms of number of years she has spent as minister without break in Gujarat. Anandiben has been a minister for last 16-17 years without break unlike any other minister, added Modi.

Modi said Anandiben has experience of dealing with ten different ministries.

Modi further said he remembers that when Keshubhai Patel was Chief Minister, 70-80% part of his speech mentioned his government’s achievement in education sector. Anandiben Patel was Education minister in Keshubhai’s government.

Modi said Anandiben reformed and simplified state’s Revenue procedures as Revenue minister. She has brought changes that could not be made in last 100 years in country, and what actually should be made at every 10-20 years gap in Revenue department. Even I couldn’t do much in Revenue department during my first tenure, Modi added.

Modi said people still respect the teachers, and Anandiben is a teacher who won President’s award.

Modi said Anandiben is Gujarat’s first Chief Minister who is MSc Gold medalist. He pointed out that Anandiben became MSc Gold medalist when society was conservative.

He said Gujarat has got woman as Chief Minister for the first time in its history. Party cadre has to spread this message in every corner. It is our duty to make women partners in our development journey. Increased partnership of women in economic activity will be good for Gujarat.

Modi congratulated party MLAs for their decision to elect Anandiben as their leader. He said entire party has full faith on her capabilities and Gujarat will continue to progress under her leadership.

Modi pointed out that Anandiben was a teacher and when teachers are angry by nature, but that’s good for students. Modi mentioned this considering the fact that many party workers don’t like Anandiben due to her angry/arrogant nature.
