Surat Gopi Talav development project on fast track

Surat’s Gopi Talav (lake front) development project will be completed by February 2015 according to Surat Municipal Commissioner.

Rs. 20 crore development project covers 95,000 square meter area. The project involves seven sections – old step-well, diamond corner, textile zone, senior citizen corner, kids section, food corner and future zone.

By February 2015, 80% part of the project barring just future zone will be opened for public. The Future Zone area will be developed on public private partnership model. The latest I-max theater and snow park will be major attractions in future zone section. Gopi talav will have capacity to store 1.5 crore liter water once the project is completed.
