Former gangster Abdul Wahab dies in Saudi Arabia

Ahmedabad based former gangster Abdul Wahab died of heart attack at medical facility in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

According to his elder brother, Wahab was on religious umrah tour to Saudi Arabia where he complained uneasiness due to reason not related to heart. He was taken to medical facility where he died of heart attack during treatment.

Wahab’s elder brother left India with his wife and Wahab’s son for last rites of Wahab.

He said Wahab will be buried in Jeddah only. He said Muslims actually pray for death in holy land of Mecca-Madinah.

After the era of Abdul Latif, Wahab was once considered the top name in Ahmedabad’s underworld. Though Ahmedabad Police tried its best to keep him in jail, Wahab was released by court due to lack of evidences. Media friendly Wahab in last phase of his life had claimed that he was away from all criminal activities and only interested in service to needy people and religious activities.
