Ahmedabad, 24 June, 2014

Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC) on Monday launched a new Volvo bus service to Pune(Maharashtra). This is the first Volvo bus service fo GSRTC outside Gujarat. GSRTC presently runs 20 Volvo buses including 2 buses to Pune. Other buses connect Ahmedabad to Rajkot, Vadodara and Surat.

Fare of Ahmedabad-Pune bus will be Rs. 1450. Buses each one from Pune and Ahmedabad will depart for journey at same time in opposite direction.

Ahmedabad-Pune bus will have facilities like newspaper, drinking water bottle, seat-wise adjustable AC/fan, curtain, push back seats and common LCD TV for entertainment. The buses will pass through Vadodara,Surat,Vapi,Mumbai.

GSRTC plans to launch Volvo bus services to Shirdi and Nathdwara in future.
