Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Indira bridge converted to six lane

Indira bridge which connects Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar has been widened at a cost of Rs. 37 crore.
Minister of state for Road and building department Jaydrathsinh Parmar today shared this detail in the Gujarat assembly during question hour in response to a question asked by Gandhinagar(South) MLA Shambhuji Thakor.
The Minister added that the task of widening the bridge was taken up in September 2012 and it was completed in June 2014.
The original width of bridge was 18.10 meter ( four lane ) which was extended to 28.50 meter ( six lane ) for smooth traffic.
