Copies of land record of rights to be given free once in a year by Talatis

Gujarat government today launched a new initiative under which the villagers will be provided records no. 7 and 8A for free once every year to give them update related to ownership of land. This program has been kicked off with ten villages of Matar taluka through Lok Samvad Setu event.
Phase wise arrangements are made for distribution of copies of records no.7 and 8A once in a year through Talati in every village.
Presently the records are available for Rs. 5 through E-dhara/ATVT/E-gram centers. Also on internet, one can see live details of land records and rights.
