The 3-9 September Ambaji fair attracted highest number of devotees today as shower was on halt. Figures available from government suggest that by 4 September total 3,29,364 visitors visited Ambaji mandir. Ambaji Devasthan Trust has received Rs. 62,98,316 donation by 4 September. Total 34,342 devotees took trust’s offer of free meal. 1,47,374 prasad packets were distributed among devotees. Trust’s free webcasting service of fair is getting good response from across the world. Thousands of people are still walking on all roads to Ambaji. Highest number of people in this holy town will be seen on teras(13th of Gujarati calendar month) and chaudash(14th). The total number of visitors during the entire fair period is estimated at 1.5 to 3.0 million.
