Organizers of ‘Ek Shyam Narendra Modi ke Nam’ event in Surat today told local media persons clearly that they have not invited Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas to their function at all. They said Kumar Vishwas and his personal assistant repeatedly approached the organizers for invitation to perform in the event, but organizers refused to invite Kumar Vishwas due to his publicity oriented statements that he keeps making to stay in news.
One of the organizers Vinod Jain told media persons in Surat that ‘Ek shaam Modi ke Naam’ event is organized every year on Narendra Modi’s birthday, and Kumar Vishwas was invited in the past to perform in this event, but he was not given invitation this year due to his controversial and publicity oriented political remarks. Vishwas has been said no by organizers but he is making this event a point to get publicity.
It should be mentioned that Kumar Vishwas on Tuesday said it was not wrong if he attended Prime Minister’s birthday function.
He said the party can expel him if it sees any wrong in attending the Prime Minister’s birthday function.
Vishwas lost Lok Sabha election against Rahul Gandhi early this year in Amethi. He was recently in news due to his claim that he was offered Chief Minister’s post by BJP in Delhi. While mainstream media had taken his claim seriously, the smarter platforms on social media had made fun of Vishwas’s such claim.
