Gandhinagar, 20 September, 2014
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has decided to allocate government land for drinking water and sewer projects to the municipal corporations, municipalities and urban development authorities of the state at the rate of 10 per cent of the Jantri rates.
This is for additional land required for such projects, beside the land already in the possession of the civic bodies.
Earlier, it used to be 25 per cent of the market price, and at the rate of 50 per cent of the market price for optional projects. The decision should help the civic bodies complete the pending projects at lower cost and faster pace.
