-Anandiben Patel asks administration to solve people’s grievances at the district level itself

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today asked the administration to adopt a compassionate attitude to solve or settle people’s grievances by departments concerned as far as possible at the district level itself.

Addressing the monthly SWAGAT meeting here, she recalled that Gujarat Government had launched SWAGAT online to redress the people’s grievance at district level so that the aggrieved parties need not come all the way to the state capital.

As per the state government’s latest 100-Day Agenda, she said, the administration should ensure appropriate directive is issued to the particular departments to settle the issues at the district level so that the aggrieved parties need not come to even SWAGAT.

SWAGAT is usually held on the fourth Thursday of every month. In all 5,017 problems or questions were raised in the programme, including 10 concerning the state, 709 concerning districts, 2,632 concerning talukas and 1.666 concerning villages, out of which over 3,800 were amicably settled.
