Justice VM Sahai to be the acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court

Due to retirement of existing Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Bhaskar Bhattacharya on 28 September, Justice VM Sahai has been appointed as Acting Chief Justice. Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya was appointed Chief Justice of Gujarat on 21 July, 2012.

Born on 13/08/1953.
Started practicing at Allahabad High Court with his father Justice R.M.Sahai who was later on elevated as Judge Supreme Court of India
Practicing mainly on Civil writ and Taxation side and appearing in the large no of important cases for U.P. Service Commission, U.P. State Road Transport Corporation and various, Insurance Corporation.
Elevated as Judge Allahabad High Court on 05/02/1999 and joined Gujarat High Court on 28/10/2010.
