Festival amount for Class-IV Gujarat govt employees up by Rs.1,000-3,000

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today raised the festival amount for Class-IV karma yogis by Rs.1,000 to Rs.3,000, irrespective of their salary, as a Diwali gift, as a sympathetic consideration for the welfare of the employees.
The decision has been taken following representations by several state government class four employees unions. The interest-free amount would be recovered in ten equated monthly installments.
