A tragic incident in Mahmadpura area is talk of the town in Bharuch city in central Gujarat.

On Tuesday, two brothers Shahid Sajidbhai Patel(6) and Anas Alfatbhai Patel(6) were found missing at around 9.00 am in Nagorivad area of Mahmadpura in Bharuch.

Their family members assumed that both children could have gone to watch Tajiya as it was Muhrram day. However, even after thorough search in nearby localities, they were not found.

Later, the relatives went to all corners of Bharuch in search of children and even sent appeal on whatsapp to relatives and others with photographs of children. However there was no clue.

At around 12.30 pm family members heard some voice from inside the car which was parked near the home. When locked car door was opened using key, one child was found lying dead inside, while other was sweating in exhausted condition and struggling to survive.

It was understood that both children had entered into this car when its door was open around five hours back. Later the doors got locked as there was automatic lock system fitted in car. Both children stayed inside the car for five hours. One of them died due to suffocation in shock after repeated attempts to move outside. The other child survived.

The relatives in total shock told media persons that while they searched entire town, they didn’t check a car parked just outside the house! That was a big mistake!

It has to be mentioned that the car that turned out to be a coffin had black film over its window glasses which is illegal as per law. If there was no black film, children could attract attention of their family.
