65% Vibrant Summit MoUs convert into production or under implementation:GoG

Additional Industry Commissioner, Government of Gujarat today in a statement said that according to details available from Government of India’s Policy and Promotion department, Gujarat has emerged as number one state in terms of number of projects that actually materialized and started production, and total money invested by them, post-economic liberalization of year 1991,
Out of total MoU/approved projects in 6 Vibrant Summit events, 65% have started production or are under implementation, the statement further said.
The statement added that post-liberalization, proposed project has to file ‘industrial entrepreneur memorandum(IEM)’ form ‘Part-A’ before the Government of India. Once the project sees production, same applicant needs to produce the form ‘Part-B’. On the basis of this, the Government of India receives and maintains the data of investment.
