Amitabh Bachchan meets Gujarat Chief Minister(Photos)

Actor Amitabh Bachchan today called on Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in Gandhinagar at Anandiben’s residence. Amitabh Bachchan is in Gujarat for shooting of his upcoming film Piku along with actor Irfan Khan and actress Deepika Padukone. Bachchan’s visit to Anandiben is termed as courtesy visit.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador for Gujarat, has now received a commendation from Chief Minister Anandiben Patel for his efforts.

The 72-year-old took to Twitter and his blog to share a photograph of him receiving a memento and a shawl from Patel.

“The Gujarat Chief Minister, Anandiben Patel fills me with commendations for my contribution towards Gujarat Tourism,” he posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.

“Her daughter and son-in-law introduce me to some of the path-breaking work that they are involved in, socially…and my readiness in not just acknowledging it but volunteering to become a part of this many faceted work towards humanity,” he added.
