Home ministry implies new rule on arm license holders

Government of India has modified the rules of arm license. The government has added two sub sections in Arms Rules 1962

Ministry of Home, Government of India has added sub section 5 and 6 to rule number 54 of The Arms Rules 1962 following which, each licensed arm owner will need to file a form to get a Unique Identity Number by 31st of December.

Ministry of Home, Government of India has started exercise to digitize all arm licenses to create a national data base of arms license by 1 September 2015. Each licensed weapon owner has to submit his birth place/date/year, detail of weapon and other prescribed details maximum by 31 December, or his/her license will be canceled.
