If we achieve this target, BJP will remain in power for next 50 years: Amit Shah

Addressing party workers at Raipur in Chhattisgarh in a function to launch party’s state-wide membership drive, national president of BJP Shri Amit Shah said if party workers nationwide make 10 crore members of BJP, the party will continue to be in power for next fifty years.

“In our last membership drive, we could make 3.25 crore members. This time we have made a target of 10 crore members. If we all party workers successfully make 10 crore members before 31st March when membership drive will end, I can guarantee you, no-one can defeat BJP. This army of10 crore will fight each battle.”

“10 crores members will make BJP the biggest political party of the world. The day BJP will become world’s biggest party, you will realise that dressing a smile on your face, you took part in membership drive and you actually created history.”

Shah said there was a Congress era for decades int his country, but success of ongoing membership drive will grant BJP a position that no-one will be able to uproot it from power for next fifty years.

Shah gave target of 50 lakh new members to Chhattisgarh cadre. He said if part men are successful to achieve this target, party will continue to rule the state for at least next 25 years.

Shah said, ” don’t give me excuse that because there were elections, we could not achieve target. Because during the elections, it would be easier for you to achieve this target. You visit each house to give leaflate, at the same time make sure they dial a miss call and become member of BJP.”

Shah said party has changed the criteria of active membership. Party worker who makes 100 members and participate in 7 days long membership drive will be considered active member.

Shah said, the membership drive will complete on 31st March and in April and May, new members will be contacted by party. Later on 15 lakh members will be selected and invited to participate in study camps by BJP.

Shah who was addressing 50,000 party workers asked each of them to make at least 100 members. Shah asked party workers to reach every section of society to get maximum benefit of membership drive.

He said party worker when in field to make members should feel that this is not merely a political drive. BJP is actually a medium of service to nation. It is a medium to achieve development. When party man is out to make new members of BJP, he/she should feel that he/she is involved in a task of service to nation.
