Congress leaders give Rs. 1 lakh cheque to family of self immolation victim

Gujarat Congress president Arjun Modhwadia and leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela along with other Congress leaders today visited Nagani family in Dharai village of Chotila taluka in Surendranagar district today and presented Rs. 1 lakh cheque to family of late farmer Arvind Nagani(21), victim of self immolation who died last week while protesting against low price of cotton.
Modhwadia and Vaghela were joined by former MP Somabhai Patel, MLA Pravin Rathod and other leaders. Congress leaders said they will organize prayer meeting to condole Nagani’s death at every taluka headquarters across Gujarat.
