Sub Inspector suspended after his thumka dance video goes viral

Police Sub Inspector Solanki of Dindoli police station was suspended late in the night by city police commissioner(incharge) PD Parmar after a video clip showing him dancing with a woman was viral.

Solanki was seen in police uniform with service revolver in a video clip. He was first seen offering currency notes to a woman dancer. Later he joined the dance for a while.

A video clip featuring this was viral in social media throughout the day in and outside the Surat city. Later, regional news channels also took notice of this and run news story questioning behavior of police man in uniform.

Late in the night city police came into action and order suspension of Solanki.

Solanki’s senior SJ Baloch, Police Inspector of Dindoli police station said that PSI Solanki was sent to Vishwakarma puja bandobast in Ramdevnagar society area.

Locals who were present when PSI Solanki was dancing said that PSI Solanki was carried away with loud music and festive atmosphere. This was his friendly behavior with locals who were celebrating Vishwakarma festival. Whatever he did, he did in public and when cameras were on. Of course his style of throwing money over dancer was matching to scene at dance bar and his dance in uniform was matching to what we see in Bollywood movies when main hero is in role of police.
