Department of sports, youths and cultural activities, Government of Gujarat arm Lalitkala Academy has announced Gaurav Puraskar for year 2013-14 today.

Nine artists who are to be awarded are: Bharti Prajapati(Ahmedabad), Ashok Khant(Vallabh Vidyanagar), Ajit Patel(Anand) and Navin Soni(Kutch) for painting. Mamtaben Y Patel(Vallabh Vidyanagar) and Mahendra H Upadhyay(Ahmedabad) for sculpture. Banvari R Rajput(Ahmedabad), Girish Parikh(Ahmedabad) and Kamal Rana(Vadodara) for photography.

Each award winner will be presented an award of Rs. 51,000 cash and copper plate.
