Gujarat CM to open Vadfest 2015 with drum circle event in Vadodara

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will inaugurate Vadodara Art Festival (VADFEST) 2015 today morning with a drum circle event in presence of minister Saurabh Patel among others.
A team of Guinness Book of Records has arrived in Vadodara to witness the drum circle event which may break world record of highest number of people playing drum at one location.
Vadfest organizers have made arrangements of drums that are to be given to seven to ten thousand participants – mostly school children for free. Drums are procured from Merath based Raipur cottage industry.
The participants will beat drums on a theme song on Vadodara, specially composed for Vadfest. 65 selected drummers and 55 singers will lead the event. Ground for this event has been divided in 8 sections.
The event has been held at Samta ground.
First day attractions:
Mega concert of Yanni at Lakshmi Vilas Palace 8-10 pm
Hariprasad Chaurasia’s flute performance at Sayaji Nagar Gruj 10-11.30 am
Blame it on Yashraj play Sir Sayajirao Nagargruh 3-5 pm
Marathi drama Chhapa Kata, Gandhinagar Gruh 3-5 pm
Shiv Shakti by Isha Sarwani, Navlakhi ground 6-7.30 pm
Snow White play for children, 10-1 pm CC Mehta auditorium
Gaekwadi cusin, 7-11.30 pm at Pool side in Glof Club
Workshop with Rajesh Mapuskar, 11-2 pm INOX theater, Racecourse
Legendary Arts show – Path Finders, sculpture and painting exhibition at Fine Arts Faculty.
