10/9 majority,but Congress couldn’t head Dolvan panchayat

Vyara, DeshGujarat
This is a story of what’s happening with Gujarat Congress even in its committed pockets.
It’s about Dolvan taluka panchayat of Vyara taluka in tribal pockets of southern Gujarat. The newly formed Dolvan taluka was separated from Vayara taluka by the Narendra Modi government.
Out of ten taluka panchayat members, 9 were from Congress and only 1 from BJP in this taluka panchayat.
This week, there was an election for the post of president and vice president of Dolvan taluka panchayat.
For Congress, it was an easy election. For BJP it was an impossible one. Suppose if BJP wishes to field its candidate, there was none to support his candidature even.
But BJP wanted to capture each and every taluka panchayat, or at least didn’t want to allow Congress to get power. So BJP strategists joined the task.
While Congress fielded its candidate for Taluka Panchayat president post, BJP fielded another candidate from 9 members of Congress group and declared its support.
Not only this, but BJP managed to break Congress group and 5 members of Congress declared their support to BJP supported candidate of Congress group.
Now when BJP supported Congress candidate had support of 6 members, while Congress party’s official candidate had support of only 5 members.
When it became clear that Congress’s official candidate would not win, Congress pulled back its official candidate and declared BJP supported member of Congress group as its official candidate.
But Congress’s trouble didn’t end here. Five members of Congress party wrote a letter do district administration to form a new group and decided to leave Congress.
Thus, technically at the end there’s no Congress president in this taluka panchayat even after 10/9 majority.
BJP wins Jotana taluka panchayat
Meanwhile BJP has successfully managed to elect its candidate as president in north Gujarat’s Jotana taluka panchayat. Out of total 7 members of this taluka panchayat, 4 were from Congress and 3 from BJP. With support of 1 Congress member, BJP won election here.
