For Porbandar which is the birth place of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi, cleanliness should not be a movement, but a habit, said Dilip Joshi, a popular TV actor who plays a role of Jethalal in Hindi TV serial Taara Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Joshi belongs to Gosa village in Porbandar district of Gujarat. He visits his native place once in a year. On Saturday, he attended a Yagna with his wife and also attended anniversary of local Rangbai mandir.

Joshi in his short address in response to his felicitation by local municipality president said, “please don’t go in search of Babitaji, keep your Daya well.”

In reference to Prime Minister’s appeal to Taarak Mehta team to join cleanliness awareness drive, Dilip Joshi said that it is unfortunate that in our country, Prime Minister has to make appeal for cleanliness. Cleanliness should not be a movement but a habit.

Joshi observed that many youths in Porbandar belt had bad habit of chewing tobacco(masala). He said parents with such habit should at least stay away from tobacco in presence of children.
