BJP selects Atmarambhai Parmar for the post of Deputy Speaker

Gujarat BJP has selected party MLA Atmarambhai Parmar for the post of Deputy Speaker of Gujarat Assembly.
Gujarat Assembly’s month long budget session has started today. As Speaker Ganpat Vasava is hospitalized due to Swine flu, the election of Deputy Speaker has become important. Atmarambhai will file nomination form tomorrow and will be elected as Deputy Speaker day after tomorrow. Till the time, Ganpat Vasava is under rest due to swine flu, Atmarambhai will occupy the chair of Speaker. Until Atmarambhai’s election as Deputy Speaker, Speaker panel head BJP MLA Nimaben Acharya will occupy Speaker’s chair.
Surat based Atmarambhai Parmar is MLA from Gadhada assembly seat which is reserved for Scheduled Caste(SC).
