Another Bollywood shoot likely in Gujarat, this one in Surat

Mumbai based company has made inquiry to get Surat’s Lalbhai Contractor cricket stadium on rent for about two weeks in the month of June for film shooting.

According to Surat District Cricket Association Chairman and Gujarat Cricket Association Vice President Kanaiyabhai Contractor, a Mumbai based firm that arranges locations for film shoot has asked for the charges and availability of stadium for 10-12 days in the month of June. Decision on this will be taken by a committee that takes care of stadium.

The film which is proposed to be captured here is based on cricketer turned politician Mohammad Azhruddin’s life, his two marriages, his alleged involvement in betting, his forced departure from cricket etc. Sources said Balaji fame film producer Ekta Kapoor is going to make this film which will feature Imran Hashmi in main role with Prachi Desai as heroine.
