There’s a new twist in Ahmedabad’s high-profile Rajpath Club Board of Directors election. President Paresh Dani who heads one of two panels contesting the election of Bord of Directors has postponed Annual General Meeting(AGM) of club scheduled to be held today in which the result of recently held elections for 30 posts of Board of Directors was to be announced. Dani has not held AGM of club for last one and half year. He was not giving election for which club members had to go to court. After election and counting under supervision of Gujarat High Court appointed observer retired justice Mehta, the results were to be announced in club’s AGM today. But Dani has postponed club’s AGM. According to rival panel led by Jagdish Patel, out of 30 posts of directors for which elections were held, Jagdish Patel panel has won 27 posts. Dani’s lust for power is so solid that he has now used another tool to postpone the AGM, said one of the members of Jagdish Patel panel. Meanwhile only three members who have won the election from Paresh Dani panel are Paresh Dani, JB Patel and Narendra Somani. All other candidates of Dani panel including BJP Councillor Jainik Vakil, Jay Narayan Vyas’s son Saket Vyas, BJP Cell/Morcha coordinator and Chairman Gujarat Makan ane Anya Bandhkam Welfare Board Dr. Anilbhai Patel are defeated by club members. Some of those defeated including Jainik Vakil are still hopeful for their victory post recounting that they have demanded.
