Hannover City of Germany all set to welcome PM Narendra Modi

The Hannover City of Germany has all set to welcome Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who is reaching here today in the second leg of his three nation visit.

The main agenda of PM’s engagements in Hannover is to expand India-Germany economic and industrial cooperation.

Indian Ambassador to Germany Mr vijay gokhale said in an interview to AIR correspondent that investment potentials of both the countries should be enhanced.

He said India has expectations in three areas, the technology, skill development and high technology.

He said Germany can be most helpful for Make in India, Digital India, and Skilled India programmes of NDA government.

India is the partner country for the Hannover Messe, the Hannover Trade Fair. A big number of Indian companies are participating in this fair.

AIR correspondent covering the PM’s visit from Hannover has reported that that the German business leaders are eagerly waiting for Indian Prime Minister.

Soon after his arrival Mr Modi will get into meetings with German business leaders. The large Banners displayed at the campus of the Hannover Messe clearly shows a lot of enthusiasm for the investment possibilities in India.

The fair will be inaugurated on Sunday in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chancellor Angela Merkel would be there for the opening ceremony.

She will thereafter host a working dinner for the Prime Minister in Hannover.

The next morning Prime Minister Modi and Chancellor Merkel will jointly inaugurate India Pavilion in Hannover messe.

According to a spokesman of Indian Ambassy in Berlin, 5-day Hannover Trade fair is an important event in which Indian states like Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh will interact with German companies to do their best efforts to attract invest in the respective States.

Shri Narendra Modi will also unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Hannover.
