Gujarat CM in China: GIFT and Qianhai Zone sign Intent of cooperation

Gujarat Chief Minister during visited Foxconn’s Longhua Science & Technology Park in China and had glimpse of the best manufacturing practices followed there.

Chief Minister briefed Chairman of Foxconn, one of the leading Fortune 500 companies about several initiatives of Gujarat including electronics manufacturing and Information Technology policies.

Chief Minister held high level discussions with officials at Qianhai Shenzhen – Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Zone located between mainland China and Hong Kong.

‘Intent of cooperation’ was signed between GIFT City and Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone for development smart cities.

A day before, Gujarat Chief Minister visited ‘Forbidden City’ and got an insight about rich ancient heritage of China. She had a lunch on meeting with Mr. Lin Musheng, Senior Advisor to the Government of Guangdong, Gujarat’s sister province in China.

Gujarat Chief Minister also called on Guangdong Governor Mr Zhua Xiaodan and expressed satisfaction over two fast growing economies coming togather. Development in ports, infrastructure and tourism was among subjects discussed between both. Gujarat Chief Minister invited Governor Zhu Xiaodan to visit Gujarat in September this year with his team to carry forward specific projects in time-bound manner.
