Govt grant for tribal students up by 50%

Gujarat government has taken a decision to hike the grant for ST(tribal) ashram shala/hostels by 50%. At present the government gives grant of Rs 1,000 per student per month. It will be Rs 1500 per student per month with effect from April 2015 in case of hostels and with effect from academic year 2015-16 in case of ashram shala, uttar-ucchatar buniyadi ashram shala.
