Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Amy Jackson were in Ahmedabad Gujarat for promotion of their upcoming Hindi romantic comedy action film Singh is Bling.

Speaking at the media interaction, Akshay Kumar said this film has nothing to with earlier film with similar title – Singh is King.

He said the word ‘Bling’ in the name of this film means ‘shine’.

Narrating the main plot of the story in the film he said, he in love with Amy in film. Amy doesn’t know Hindi and I don’t know English. So we have translator, a role of which is played by Lara Dutta who misleads us both by doing wrong interpretations purposefully.

Akshay said, “I ask my producers to let me promote the film in Gujarat, because people in Gujarat like comedy too much. Even the media persons present here are asking questions while smile on their face. Gujaratis just love to smile, I have observed throughout my career.”

Akshay also praised the journos present in the press conference for asking one by one question so speedily. He said he doesn’t find such journos in other states during film promotion related interactions.

Director of the film Prabhu Deva was also present in this interaction. However he spoke very little and continued to pass on the mike to Akshay.

About the message of the film, Akshay said there’s lot of action in this film associated with women character. Women should be prepared for self defense, that is one of the messages.

Singh Is Bliing is an upcoming Bollywood action comedy film directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Ashvini Yardi and Jayantilal Gada under the banners Grazing Goat Pictures and Pen India Pvt. Ltd. The film features Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Lara Dutta and Kay Kay Menon in lead roles. It started filming on 3 April 2015 in Patiala, and now ready to hit theaters. The film is scheduled to be released on 2 October 2015. The first official trailer of the film was released on 19 August 2015.
