Trustees of Raopura based Kothipol Jain temple(Derasar) had installed Wi-Fi facility in Jain temple to attract the new generation to this religious place, but after outrage from Jain monks and others, the trustees have decided to withdraw the Wi-Fi facility from Jain temple.
“In entire world, no derasar has Wi-Fi facility. To respect our original tradition is always better option. Respecting the wish of Guru maharaj, Wi-Fi should go,” said Kothipol Jain Sangh president Dipakbhai Shah.
Echoing his opinion, Prakashbhai Sheth said misuse of Wi-Fi would create problem for Sangh. In pious atmosphere of derasar, Wi-Fi is not necessary. It will go.”

Worth mentioning that Jain monk Acharya Vijayshilchandrasuriji had first opposed the decision of making Wi-Fi facility available in Jain derasar.
Most of the Jain derasars also avoid unnecessary use of electricity and make lighting available through oil lamps.
