Priest falls from the top of Dwarkadhish temple, dies

A young priest of the world famous Jagat temple of Lord Dwarkadhish here fell down from its mast and died on the spot today when he lost control of the rope during routine flag hoisting (dhwaja aarohan) ritual, police said.
PI Dwarka R T Chanura said that Prasiddh Trivedi (30) had gone atop the 150 ft high temple mast for the second of the routine five flag hosting done daily.
‘There were five people doing the ritual of changing the main flag on the temple mast. Suddenly Prasiddh lost control of the rope and fell down dying on the spot,’ the PI said.
The incident took place at around 1220 hrs this noon.
