Raees shoot at Adalaj stepwell

Hindi film actor Shah Rukh Khan today continued shooting of film Raees in Ahmedabad.
Not exactly in Ahmedabad today, but at little distance outside the city at famous Adalaj stepwell which is protected monument of Archaeological Survey of India(ASI).
Shah Rukh who is staying at hotel Hyatt on city’s Ashram road yesterday participated in shooting at Sarkhej Roja in city with Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in day time.
The night sequence at Sarkhej Roja campus which has a mosque, dargah and more structures was captured without Shah Rukh.
Earlier the film shoot happened at Divan bungalow in Ahmedabad and at check post near Gandhinagar in presence of Nawazuddin Siddiquie who plays police man role in film.
The entire unit early this month was in Kutch for a week long shoot at rural locations.
Last year, the film was shot in studio in Mumbai where set of wall city areas of Ahmedabad was created.
Raees is a film based on 1980s decade gangster and mafia Abdul Latif in Ahmedabad. The film is directed by Rahul Dholakia who earlier made film Parzania which was based on Gujarat riots.
