Oops moment for Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha (video)

New Delhi

Congress vice president and son of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi today while reading out the speech in Lok Sabha in response to President’s address called Chairman of Lok Sabha Mr. Venugopal as Madam Speaker. Rahul was reading out from a written note while saying so. Perhaps one who wrote the speech may have assumed that when Rahul will be speaking in Lok Sabha, Smt Sumitra Mahajan would be on chair. However there was Mr. Venugopal on Speaker’s chair. Rahul said sorry after his mistake.

Imidiately after Rahul Gandhi, there was a turn of BJP MP Prahlad Joshi to speak. Prahlad Joshi while starting his speech pointed out that Rahul read out the speech and addressed Mr. Venugopal as Madam Speaker. In response to this dig, Rahul stood up and admitted his two-three mistakes during his speech. Rahul then taunted the treasury bench and in response received taunt from Prahlad Joshi in return. A video clip is presented above.
