Rupayatan – Junagadh to have research center dedicated to Narsih Maheta

Gujarat governor Shri O.P. Kohli today inaugurated ‘Narsih Parv’ at Rupayatan Vidyapith in Junagadh. Narsih Parv is being organized to mark 600th birth anniversary of great Gujarati poet Shri Narsih Maheta who gave Gandhiji’s favorit Bhajan ‘Vaishnav Jan’.
Two books on Narsih Maheta were released on this occasion. One is J.P. Joshipara’s book ‘Life and teaching of Narsih Maheta’ while other is Nagindas Sanghvi’s book ‘Sarvada Narsih’.
An announcement was made on this occasion that Rupayatan, Junagadh will start a Research center to provide all details on Narsinh Maheta to scholars of new generation.
Governor Shri Kohli in his speech remembered Narsh Maheta for his Bhakti movement.
