Mahesana
Mahesana town in north Gujarat is normal and peaceful today after yesterday’s clash between Patidar community agitators and police.
Curfew was lifted today morning in Mahesana town. Section 144 was also withdrawn.
Local police, SRP and RAF jawans are deployed in this town to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile district police chief Mandlik while speaking to media persons said, FIR has been lodged against those involved in attack over police yesterday. 25 persons are named in FIR.
He said agitation leader Lalji Patel has suffered injury on back side of his head while police was on front side. Primary medical report suggests that he had suffered head injury due to stone and not due to police stick.
“Position of injury and primary medical report make it clear that Lalji had suffered injury due to stone pelting and not due to lathicharge,” he said and added that Lalji was initially taken to Civil hospital by police but he was later shifted to Lions hospital.
On question regarding ‘Bandh call’ given by Patidar outfit he told journalists to look around and see that traffic is normal and shops are open.
