Gujarat government has set a target of ensuring participation of one crore people in the state for the World Yoga Day celebrations on June 21.
Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama today held a meeting with representatives of social organisations, where he said the government was planning to rope in one crore people for the Yoga Day celebration, an official release said.
“We want to make participation on this day a mass movement. The aim is that more and more people take up yoga for health benefits,” Chudasama said.
The minister has invited suggestions from NGOs in this regard, it said.
The United Nations had last year declared June 21 as World Yoga Day.
