Superfast status to Western Railway’s 13 Mail/Express trains from 1st October

Ahmedabad: 13 pairs of Mail/Express trains connecting Gujarat will be speeded up and run as “Superfast” trains with effect from 1st October , 2016(new time table 2016). Re-numbering of these trains will be effective from dates between 14-19 November. Of this 12 trains pass through Ahmedabad division.
The trains including their return journey are: Mumbai – Okha Saurashtra mail, Surat – Bhagalpur Surat Express, Bandra – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express, Bandra – Gandhidham Express, Mumbai- Ahmedabad Gujarat Express, Bandra – Bhuj Kutch Express, Ahmedabad – Somnath Express, Surat – Jamnagar Intercity Express, Surat – Hapa Intercity Express, Bandra – Bhavnagar Express, Bandra – Bhagat Ki Kothi Express, Ahmedabad – Allahabad Express, Okha – Varanasi Express.
With Superfast status in place, tickets in these trains will be costlier in range of Rs 15 to Rs 75. The trains will be renumbered and initial digit 1 will be replaced with figure 2.
