16-hour long traffic jam on Delhi – Gurugram expressway

New Delhi: It is perceived as one of the worst traffic jam in India so far. Around 600 vehicles were struck in this traffic jam between Delhi and Gurugram. The reason was downpour yesterday which slowed down the traffic and at places completely obstructed the vehicle movement. The expressway stayed chock-a-block throughout the night and even morning. It is reported that many had to spend their entire night with their car in traffic. Some cars had no fuel left. Outrage on twitter was obvious. Here are some tweets:

Changing the name to Gurugram did not solve #Gurgaon problems. Maybe we should change the std code next time. pic.twitter.com/lH1WTj3JgV
