Govt of Gujarat permits second agri power connection in same survey number

Gandhinagar: According to power and agriculture minister Chimanbhai Saparia, the government of Gujarat led by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken a decision to approve second agriculture power connection in same survey number when survey number size is greater than 8 acre. With this the government has accepted years old demand of farmers, the minister said.

Saparia said this is another pro-farmers decision by the government after recent decision to extend the hours of agriculture power supply.

Saparia said the government has also taken a decision that farmers with existing power connection in one survey number will be able to use two motors in same borewell/well or in another borewell or well in same survey number in limit of power load shown in agreement.
