15 year old Gujarati school boy killed in US

Anand: A 15 year old Gujarati boy living in the US has been killed by a black looter in Ohio city.

Sunny Patel, son of Ravi Patel, a non resident Gujarati and native of Demol village under Petlad takuka of Anand district in central Gujarat, was shot at in a restaurant where he had gone after school.

An armed looter wearing mask over his face suddenly entered the restaurant and tried to loot it. When Sunny resisted he shot at him injuring him critically. He was admitted to a hospital where he later succumbed, a relative told today after getting the information of the incident which took place on Friday.

Ravi Patel lives in the US with his family for quite a long time.

The latest killing seems a repetition of many such incidents in the US which involved black looters.
Over a dozen persons of Gujarati origin have been killed in such incidents in the US in last one and a half year.

The relative said that the local police there was trying to nab the looter based on the CCTV footage of the incident. He also informed that a reward of $5000 has reportedly been announced for a clue about the killer. The investigation was on.
