Ahmedabad: In one more measure to create ease for passengers amid ongoing cash crisis, Vallabh Kakadia, minister of state for Transport, Government of Gujarat has taken a decision to install P.O.S swipe machine(debit and credit card) at advance booking reservation counters of 50 out of 125 bus depots of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC).

With this, the passengers will be able to make payment for ticket through swipe machine using debit/credit card. A passenger will not need to pay any transaction charge to bank while doing so.

The system will be available for use initially at 10 depot of municipal corporation areas from 21 November and at rest of 40 depots from 25 November. Directives are issued to cover 75 other depots also in the second phase.
